Terms of use

Last updated 27 September 2026

These terms name no legal entity yet and are not enforceable as they stand. They need review by somebody qualified before the product is sold.

Who provides GarnetOS

GarnetOS is provided by [Name of the business or trader — not yet supplied], at [Contact address — not yet supplied]. The business is not a registered company. Using the service means accepting these terms.

What GarnetOS does, and what it does not

GarnetOS helps a business keep employment records, store evidence, and see what falls due and when. It is a record-keeping tool.

It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for it. GarnetOS does not determine whether your business has met an obligation, does not confirm that anybody has permission to work, and never contacts the Home Office, UKVI or any other authority on your behalf. Where the software says something needs review, it is telling you to look — not telling you what the answer is. Those judgements are yours, and you should take professional advice where the stakes warrant it.

Your account

Accounts are created by invitation. You are responsible for what is done through yours, so keep your password to yourself and turn on two-step sign-in if your company has not already required it.

Your employer controls who may see what inside their company, and can suspend or remove your access at any time.

Your data

The records your business puts into GarnetOS remain yours. You can export them, and if you close your account they are deleted. The privacy policy sets out how they are handled meanwhile.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record and for having a lawful basis for holding it. GarnetOS stores what it is given.

Availability

GarnetOS aims to be available continuously and does not promise it. Maintenance, provider outages and faults happen. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, GarnetOS is not liable for a decision you took, or did not take, on the basis of what the software showed you.

Changes

These terms may change. Material changes are notified to account holders by email before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page shows when it last happened.
